It seems like every kid these days are interested in cell phone. In fact one out of every four kids between 8 and 12 has one, such as a second-year pupil. I think cell phone does more harm than good to pupils.
Firstly, pupils’ duty is studying well and making progress every day. You even see the slogan at many primary school gates. As a socialized man, pupils usually get in touch with some high-tech products. Let’s take cell phone for example. Its original function is helping me have a call and exchange messages with others. But now it’s developed many new features, most of them are very attractive for pupils. Pupils use the cell phone to download interested ring tones, graphics, video clips, e-books, games and so on. They even do realize that the cell phone is a game machine but a phone.
What’s more, pupils have no income. Many features on a cell phone need your payment. And they don’t know that the marketers have deals with all the major phone companies, which get a cut. It makes it’s easy to pay for a services by cell phone. Mostly, you may be unknowing to it. So pupils’ parents may suffer while this happens.
Lastly, having a cell phone reflects on pupils’ character. As they say, sap one’s spirit by seeking pleasures, and play with others, lose morality. A pupil often live with the cell phone may lead to many problems, such as loneliness, introvert, private.
More and more parents want to provide their kids the best quality of life and education. Parents love their kids like the apple of their eyes because most of them just have one kid. I think pupils are infatuated with the cell phone’s new features. And the companies’ purpose is to earn more profit from kids. Personally, we should help our kids to use cell phone properly and enhance their self-control.
